Step 10 of 26 · Your first day
Outdoor time
Tap "Going out" when the group goes outside and "Back in" when it returns. "Staying in…" records why not.

More about this
The line "Outdoors: 0 minutes today" adds up the group's time outside. Each child in care for six hours or more in a day must spend at least two hours outdoors each day, weather permitting, unless a physician or a parent advises otherwise in writing (O. Reg. 137/15, s. 47(1)(c)). "Staying in…" asks the reason (rain, snow or ice, extreme cold, extreme heat, poor air quality, thunder or lightning, other weather, or something else), so a day with little outdoor time has its reason on record. Count heads when you go out and when you come back in.
Before you go out and while you are out, the row names each child of the room with anaphylaxis and where to take their auto-injector from (or who carries it), with its expiry when that is within 30 days. Children from other rooms going out with you: check their auto-injectors too.
Your centre's words for people and its policies may differ; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.144, captured October 27, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 20, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
