Step 13 of 17 · Your first week
Write a message
Which child; who reads it (the staff who work with your child and the office, or the office only); whether it is about pick-up; subject, message; Send.
Watch out: "The office only" is for a concern about someone who works with your child; a pick-up note is never for the office only. No health details beyond what the centre needs, nothing about another child.

More about this
"The staff who work with <your child>, and the office" are the people who care for your child that day and the centre's administrators and supervisors. "The office only" is for a concern about someone who works with your child: the staff of the room do not see it. A pick-up note is never for the office only: the staff who sign your child out need it. Say nothing in a message you would not say on a form the centre keeps: no health details beyond what the centre needs, nothing about another child. Sent, the message says "Sent to the centre".
Your child's centre or agency may use other words for people and its own policies; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.171, captured October 30, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 20, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
