Policies

Open Policies and work through the list. Each policy shows "To read" until you confirm it, and "Quiz" until you pass its quiz.

Watch out: Your confirmation, with its date and the version you read, is the record a program adviser asks to see. A changed policy comes back to the list to confirm again.

The Policies list with a pill To read, Confirmed or Quiz beside each policy.

More about this

The list counts "0 of 18 confirmed · 0 of 18 quizzes passed" and shows a due date for each (the demonstration gives new staff 30 days). Pills: "To read", "Confirmed", "Quiz", "Quiz passed 3/3", "Updated — please re-confirm" when the office published a new version, and "Annual review — please re-confirm" when the yearly review started a new cycle without changing the text.

Every licensee must implement its policies, procedures and individualized plans at each centre it operates (O. Reg. 137/15, s. 6.1(1)) and have a written way of monitoring compliance with them and recording contraventions (s. 6.1(7)). From January 1, 2027, the staff training policy must also provide for training on each required policy (s. 58(1.1)).

Your centre's words for people and its policies may differ; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.144, captured October 27, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 20, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
