Step 13 of 29 · Your first day
Menus
Menus: this week's and next week's planned menus, posted where parents see them, and a substitution noted on the day.
Watch out: Once the week starts, a substitution is noted on the posted menu (s. 43(1)). Anyone at the site can note one.

More about this
Planned menus for the current and the following week must be posted in a conspicuous place, with any substitutions noted on the posted menus (O. Reg. 137/15, s. 43(1)). Enter the week's meals (or the menu as a file), "Save the menu", and post it; once the week starts, a change is noted as a substitution on the posted menu, as the regulation asks, and KeepCount keeps the day, the meal, what was planned, what was served instead and why. Anyone at the site can note one, on the day or within a week.
Your centre's words for people and its policies may differ; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.162, captured October 29, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 20, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
