Step 7 of 9 · Paying by pre-authorized debit

The debit agreement

"Read the debit agreement": what may be taken and when, the 10 days' notice, cancelling, and your right to dispute a debit. "I agree" or "Not now".

Watch out: Read it to the end before "I agree". Your acceptance is recorded with the agreement's version and the date.

The pre-authorized debit agreement, with Not now and I agree.

More about this

The agreement is a personal pre-authorized debit agreement under the payments rules of Canada's banks. It says what the centre may take (each invoice, for the amount and on the date you were told at least 10 days before), how the agreement is cancelled, and that you may dispute a debit with your bank within 90 days.

Zūm's window also asks you to accept Zūm Rails' own consent to pre-authorized debits. It is for the same debits: no other debits are made through KeepCount.

Your child's centre or agency may use other words for people and its own policies; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.171, captured October 30, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 23, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
