The checklist
The Ministry's standard home visitor checklist, in the visit: each item Yes, No or N/A, its risk level, and Put right by for a No. Signed off, it counts.
Watch out: Signed off, the checklist is final and kept as signed; a No takes a date to put it right by.

More about this
The checklist is the Ministry's standard home visitor checklist (current as of July 2021), in its sections: the number of children (items 1 to 6: six children and three under two, supervision), the building, equipment and playground (7 to 18, hazards and firearms among them, s. 31), health and medical supervision (19 to 39), nutrition (40 to 46), the program (47 to 54), emergency preparedness (55 to 60, the written fire evacuation procedure for the premises, s. 68(3)), administrative matters (61 to 68), and the agency's additional items for the changes to O. Reg. 137/15 since 2021 (from January 1, 2027: hazards and parents told, s. 31.1, and the septic access point, s. 31; O. Reg. 197/26, s. 22(2)). Each item has its risk level (Critical, High, Moderate, Low); "Verbally confirmed" and "By the agency's policy" are answers too. The form's pages 3 to 8 (the times, the children, the provider's own children, the residents and regulars with "VSC on file?") read the home's record. "Sign off the checklist: it is final, and kept as signed from now on"; "Print the checklist" prints it.
Your agency's words for people and its policies may differ; the screens are the same. The screen is from KeepCount 0.99.162, captured October 29, 2026 in a demonstration organization: everyone in it is fictional. Section numbers are O. Reg. 137/15 (General) under the Child Care and Early Years Act, 2014, read on e-Laws on October 20, 2026. This explains how KeepCount works; it is not legal advice, and the Ministry's program advisors decide compliance.
