Switching to KeepCount

Check everything first, then switch on the day you choose.

Bring your children in yourself, choose what comes over, and see it all before anything is added.

Undo on the day.A move from your current app’s files can be undone that day, before you record for those children.
Your current app, untouched.KeepCount reads its exported files and changes nothing there.
Yours to take.Export all your records as spreadsheets, any day.

Start from a spreadsheet, not from scratch.

Rooms, staff with their screening dates, children and drills each start from KeepCount’s template.

What owners ask before they switch

  1. When do we start?

On a day you choose. Set up during the 30-day trial, then start recording.

  2. What comes over?

Children and a centre’s attendance, from a spreadsheet or your current app’s exports, with emergency contacts from those exports. Staff with their screening dates, rooms and drills come from spreadsheets.

  3. Do we re-enter our old records?

No. Day-to-day records stay in your current app and KeepCount keeps them from your start date; what an inspection looks back on (the last 12 months of drills, each person’s screening dates) comes in from your spreadsheets during set-up.

  4. How do staff learn it?

The tablet shows what’s due next, and most of it is a tap. Each person gets a short guided tour on first sign-in.

  5. Do we need new tablets?

No. KeepCount works on the tablets, phones and computers you already have.

  6. What do parents notice?

With Families, one invitation by email or a code, then their child’s day on their phone. You can keep your current parent app while you switch.

  7. Do parents sign their pre-authorized debit again?

With Billing, yes: once, on their phone. Interac e-Transfer requests are part of Billing too.

  8. What does switching cost?

Bringing your records in yourself costs nothing. KeepCount support helps you set up, at no charge.

  9. What if our inspection is soon?

Show your old binder for before your start date, and KeepCount’s from then on. Support can help you get ready.
