For licensed child care centres

Rooms, ratios and the records behind them

The licensing visit asks the same questions of a one-site centre and a twelve-site operator. KeepCount gives every site its own readiness score, binder and rooms, and the organization one view of all of them.

What a centre gets

Sites and rooms
Each licensed site with its rooms and age groups; mixed-age and family age groups included. A site supervisor sees their own site; the organization’s administrators see all of them.
The room tablet
Head counts with the Schedule 1 verdict, the opening, playground, sanitizing and closing checks, sleep checks per child, and the sign-in and sign-out register or a CSV import from your parent app. Included for every centre.
Staff policies and screening
Ministry policy templates with quizzes; vulnerable sector checks, declarations, first aid and health assessments per person with reminders.
Drills and evidence
Monthly fire drills and, from 2027, quarterly missing-child drills; the fire chief’s approval, insurance, public health and playground inspections on file with their dates.
Incidents
The daily written record and the serious-occurrence trail with the 24-hour report and the posting dates.

Multi-site operators

Additional sites are 20 per cent off. A site supervisor is an administrator limited to one site: their people, rooms, drills and records, with the organization-level settings, policies and billing left to the organization’s administrators. Readiness and the binder print per site, which is how the visit happens.

Centres in schools

A centre, or part of one, operated in a school only for school-board pupils follows the school-term total-evacuation drill pattern in s. 68(2) and may adopt the school’s emergency management policies under s. 68.1(3). Mark what applies; the readiness list follows.
